We are looking for christian sci-fi, thriller, fantasy writers who are interested
in publishing an ebook (what is an ebook?). If you are a writer and would like to publish an ebook

Please note that we are only publishing non-fiction christian general, and fiction
in the following genres: romance/suspense and mystery. We do not publish poetry, inspirational, devotionals,
fantasy, sci-fi, children, western, or historical fiction printed books.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
We are only accepting queries within an email--NO attachments. To query
us, please send the following (all within the email):
A cover letter that explains:
(Please include your name, address, and phone number
in the cover letter.)
- The book's subject matter and approach
- The length of the book (approximate number of double-spaced manuscript pages)
- The audience for whom the book is written (be specific, not just "Christian audience"); also
include titles and authors of other books already directed to your intended audience
- Why a reader would buy your book as opposed to another on the same or similar subject
- The need or purpose your book fulfills that others do not
- Your qualifications for writing this book
- Your occupation
- Information about public notoriety (Do you speak? Have you published other books?)
As an attachment to the query, send the following:
- The introduction, first chapter, and a middle chapter of the manuscript
- A brief, one paragraph synopsis of each chapter

If we are interested in your query, we will ask you to submit the manuscript as outlined below.
How to Submit Your Manuscript
Jireh receives 100+ manuscripts a year, so to manage the review process, we ask that you
follow our manuscript submission guidelines. This ensures that every submittal will be reviewed in a timely
manner.
How to Prepare your Manuscript
- Type every part of your submission
- Double space using ample margins
- Use only one side of quality 8 1/2 x 11 inch bond paper
- Consecutively number your pages throughout
- Submit only clean and readable photocopies
- Type your name, address, phone and email on the cover of your manuscript or proposal
- Mail your material flat in an envelope with adequate postage. Do not fold.
- Your grammar, style, and punctuation should conform to normal English usage. We use Chicago
Manual of Style (University of Chicago Press) as our basic guide
If your manuscript is chosen for publication, we will ask you to submit it on computer disk.
An appropriately sized self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of your manuscript, if
you want it returned
(Material sent without a self-addressed stamped envelope will not be returned and will be
discarded after review.)
Review response time for manuscripts: 6 to 8 weeks.

NOTE: As of January 2005, we will no longer be able to respond to manuscripts that
were not first queried to us. We will however continue to review manuscripts, but
will only contact you if your title is selected for publication.
With our current increase of submissions a month, it is impossible for us to reply to each and
every one. In order for us to keep submissions open to
authors, and not just literary agents, we need to streamline our responses. So if you do
not hear from us, either via mail, phone, or email within 8 weeks, your title has not been selected
for publication with Jireh Publishing. We thank you for your patience.
